SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – 09/21/18 – Shaun Daugherty has joined Gibson as the Director of Technology. He is responsible for providing strategic oversight and thought leadership for all the Gibson’s technology functions. He will be hands-on collaborating with internal and external clients at all levels to promote continuous process improvements and ensure the most effective use of all technologies available within our company. He specializes in Service Management, Knowledge Centered Support, and Business Technology Strategy.

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – 09/24/18 – Frank Jozefczak has joined Gibson as a Client Manager in the Small Employee Benefit Group. He is responsible for providing renewal and service management for employee benefits clients including overseeing renewals and enrollments, maintaining policy data, the creation of employee communication materials, and conducting employee open enrollment meetings. He specializes in employee benefits and client services.

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA– 09/24/2018 – Wendy Zook has joined Gibson as an Account Manager in Employee Benefits Practice. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of client accounts and maintaining system integrity. She also assists with the preparation of employee communication materials for clients, the renewal process, and the review of certificates and contracts. Her specialty areas include client services and employee benefits.

Prior to joining Gibson in 2018, Wendy was an executive HR assistant and legal assistant for over 25 years

SOUTH BEND/PLYMOUTH/INDIANAPOLIS/FORT WAYNE/ELKHART, INDIANA/KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN – 08/24/18 – Gibson retains its Best Practices status, once again becoming a part of an elite group of independent insurance agencies around the United States. This status comes by participating in the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) Best Practices Study group. The annual survey and Study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the “best” agencies and urges others to adopt similar practices.

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – 07/2/18–Brian Souders is a Risk Advisor at Gibson, responsible for providing risk management and insurance services to business clients. He specializes in identifying, quantifying and bringing clarity around strategic, business, and hazard risk exposures. Utilizing the proprietary Gibson Protection System (GPS), he and his team provide counsel and advice on complex business and people issues that extend far beyond the scope of an insurance policy.

Prior to joining Gibson in 2018, Brian has had many roles in the insurance industry. Brian began his career in 2003 and gained commercial insurance experience while working at Chubb and Amerisure. Most recently, Brian worked for a smaller independent insurance agency where he sold property/casualty insurance products.

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – 06/28/18– Stephen Swihart of Gibson has been promoted to Client Manager. He is responsible for working with the Client Executive to determine overall risk management program goals and developing strategies to achieve those goals. In addition, he manages the insurance renewal process. Stephen also acts as the central point of communication to coordinate service requests with team members and underwriters to communicate insurance program needs. 

Prior to being promoted to Client Manager, Stephen started his career at Gibson as an Account Manager. Before joining Gibson in 2015, Stephen held positions in staffing and sales, as well as in the dental field.

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – 06/25/18–Ann Amico Moran is the Director of Human Resources at Gibson. She is responsible for career pathing, coaching, cultural initiatives, wellness programming, strategic planning, recruiting, and retention. Ann is a champion for innovation, mission driven, and people centered leader. She has experience in the talent management space, leading teams, creating and establishing relationships with a variety of constituents including executive level and c-suite leaders, faculty, students, staff, and community members.

Prior to joining Gibson in 2018, Ann was the Senior Recruiting Consultant for University Relations at the University of Notre Dame. Her tenure with Notre Dame began in 2010 as the Program Director of Graduate Career Services where she was a pioneer in the graduate career space. She built the first of its kind, career services for Ph.D. and Masters level students, establishing relationships with employers worldwide, faculty, and students. Prior to Notre Dame, Ann was instrumental in bringing the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to Northern Indiana and worked as the Race Director. She began her career in sales and marketing for a Fortune 500 company. She has held multiple leadership roles in non-profit organizations both in and outside the Michiana community.
