SOUTH BEND/PLYMOUTH/INDIANAPOLIS/FORT WAYNE & KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN – 09/11/19 – Gibson retains its Best Practices status, once again becoming a part of an elite group of independent insurance agencies around the United States. This status comes by participating in the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) Best Practices Study group. The annual survey and Study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the “best” agencies and urges others to adopt similar practices.

SOUTH BEND/ INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – 09/03/19 – Gibson has promoted Courtney Simpkiss to Chief Growth Officer (CGO). Courtney will be part of the leadership team and is the first female in Gibson’s history to serve in the overall sales leader role. She joined Gibson in 2018 as Director of Business Development and will continue as Indianapolis Market Leader.

As CGO, Courtney will lead Gibson’s expansion throughout Indiana, Michigan, and beyond. She is based in Indianapolis and will report directly to CEO, Tim Leman. She will have direct accountability for the commercial risk management and employee benefits sales and marketing teams.  

SOUTH BEND/ FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – 8/1/19 –  Gibson has added three employees to their Accelerated Advisory Academy (AAA) as Associate Risk Advisors. AAA is an intensive 6-month Risk Advisor training program. Participants are licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. They are responsible for providing risk management and insurance services to business clients and specialize in identifying, quantifying and bringing clarity around strategic, business, and hazard risk exposures.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – 4/18/19 – Gibson announces the appointment of four members to its newly created Board of Advisors (BOA). Joining the Board are Mike Barton, Mike Cahill, Ron Kitchens, and Tiffany Sauder.

KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN –04/16/19 – Gary Carey has joined Gibson as our Michigan Market Leader. He is responsible for sales growth and development of our emerging Michigan Market.

Prior to joining Gibson, Gary held Area Vice President of Sales and Regional Sales Director roles with Paycor, a Human Capital Management software company for over six years. Before joining Paycor, Gary spent over twenty years in the office equipment industry in a variety of sales and leadership roles.

SOUTH BEND/PLYMOUTH/INDIANAPOLIS/FORT WAYNE/ELKHART, INDIANA/KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN –04/17/19– Courtney Simpkiss has joined Gibson as our Indianapolis Market Leader and Director of Business Development for Employee Benefits and Commercial Risk. She works closely with business leaders on all aspects of human capital consulting and organizational risk management.

Prior to joining Gibson in 2018 Courtney held a variety of roles at ADP such as Vice President of Sales for Indiana, Vice President of ADP’s national Broker Channel Program and General Manager for ADP TotalSource.

KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN – 12/11/18 – Gibson has been selected by 269 MAGAZINE as one of Southwest Michigan’s Wonderful Workplaces. SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – 10/05/18 – Kaylee Vendola has joined Gibson as a Client Manager in Employee Benefits, SEBG. She is responsible for clients including overseeing renewals and enrollments, maintaining policy data, the creation of employee communication materials, and conducting employee open enrollment meetings. Her specialties consist of Employee Benefits and Client Services.
